Best ideea so far, i loved the old republic story and the game. It shows where it all began, and i think its important for everyone to know why sith and jedi are enemies. Plus the old republic had much more powerfull characters, with a higher knowledge of the foce. A trilogy starting from the invasion of Korriban should be a excelent start.
Ive had people supposedly familiar with the old canon novels argue with me that old republic jedi weren't as powerful as "current" jedi. I'd like to be honest and say, Im not familiar with the vast amount of novels that are out. I have seen all the movies a multitude of times, played the table top written rp game with material that was liscensed, played star wars games that were liscensed by LucasArts and my in my opinion old republic sith and jedi were much stronger. More current characters like Luke and non mainstream starkiller, yoda, were seen as exceptions to the modern average power level and was often compared to being of similar strength to that of old republic jedi..There were planets of sith that practiced their arts. I think the GoT team would be about the best out there for a project like this. Make em collaborate with the Avatar crowd if ya got money to blow. Hao's idea would be a great starting point!
Personally I think an Old Republic television show with the production value of GoT would be a much better road to travel. Disney certainly has the capital to make this a reality. There’s just too much to put in a three movie series and it’ll no doubt come up short of any expectations.
